Friends in Faith - Connection Café is a program with events being held once a month in the evening.
June topic is Wellness, Jesus and Me – From Anxiety to Peace. Join us as Margaret Marshall facilitates a wellness workshop based on her newly published book “Wellness, Jesus and Me – From Anxiety to Peace”. * In her book, Margaret shares her deeply personal journey through anxiety, physical challenges, empty nest grief, loss of identity, and the daily struggle to keep moving forward. Living with cerebral palsy and other health obstacles, Margaret shares with honesty, warmth, and hard-won wisdom about how she found greater peace by inviting Jesus into every area of her life.
Through seven dimensions of wellness—spiritual, relationship, work, physical, nutritional, environmental, and emotional—Margaret offers a powerful testimony of resilience, healing, and hope. Margaret opens up about letting go of the life she once knew, adapting to pain and limitations, learning to value herself, and discovering renewed purpose through prayer, faith, and practical action.
This is not a book about having a perfect life. It is a book about trusting God in the middle of an imperfect one.
Whether you are facing anxiety, health struggles, loss, transition, or uncertainty about your future, Wellness, Jesus and Me will encourage you to believe that peace is possible, purpose remains, and Jesus can walk with you through it all.
*Note – Books will be available for sale and signing - $20 each.
Who is the Connection Cafe for? Really, for everyone who’s looking for spiritual support to get through the challenges we all face in life. Each event will feature a practical life or wellness topic, such as Mental Health, How to Age Well, How to Keep your Children Strong in Their Faith, and much more.
Discussion, prayer, fellowship and refreshments will round out the evening. Ultimately, we hope that these events will enable people to grow in their faith and feel supported while learning from each other.
